About Rowe & Co Photography
We're a husband and wife photography team, based in Lower Hutt, Wellington.
Our style is bright with limited editing to the person but emphasising things like the environment. We do a mix of posed and candid shots so you get the best of both worlds. Alex hand edits every picture that is selected and to adjust to a different style causes extra work for us and puts our brand at risk of looking inconsistent and a misrepresentation of what we do.
We offer on location shoots within the Wellington CBD, Hutt Valley and Porirua regions on Wednesday mornings, the occasional Friday and weekends.
Our packages are for couples, family, extended family, individuals, siblings, maternity, pets and pets with family. We also run occasional season mini specials such as Cherry Blossom, Spring, Autumn and Christmas. We can also do drone photography and videography

Rachael & Alex
I, Rachael, am the main photographer, marketer, communicator and administrator. I am the one you deal with, and will meet at your shoot, and often see talking on our Facebook stories.
With over 15 years experience working both in Australia and New Zealand in digital marketing communications, I moved into photography after being made redundant thanks to Covid a couple of months after giving birth to our second child in level four lockdown in 2020. I went on to study a Diploma of Photography as I've always had a passion for it, having studied it at High School as well as working with it in my career. I completed certificates in newborn photography, portfolio critique and social media, marketing, business and branding for photographers.
Initially I was studying photography just to complement my current skill set for returning to marketing communications work. After a number of sessions with friends, family and taking my camera out talking to parents we decided to see how things go as small business owners in 2021, and well, here we are!
I also have a background as a qualified nanny, a Kindy reliever and a primary School reading tutor. I have worked with children of all ages, cultures and capabilities.
My husband, Alex, has a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, and a Masters in Mechatronics.
On top of working full time as second in charge of a team working in automation, he is often on call, as well as doing the final edits on all our photos - so a very busy guy!
